O.P. wlm & msn messenger?
i just have msn messenger right now and im wondering if i can download wlm and use it when i want but then use msn messenger when i want

i think i downloaded wlm before and i couldnt use msn mesenger? not sure if there is a way to use both

1. Install MSN Messenger 7.5 (If you already have it installed you don’t need to)

2. Rename the MSN Messenger folder to MSN Messenger 2 (usually located in C:\Program Files\)

3. Install Windows Live Messenger.

4. Apply a polygamy patch A-Patch to both Messengers, or to the one you plan to open second.

5. Then change all the paths of the shortcuts to MSNM 7.5 to C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger 2\msnmsgr.exe.

Just thought i'd say, I usually rename the folder to 'MSN Messenger 7.5' instead of 'MSN Messenger 2'

um ok so when i did this i got to step 5 but there isnt no shortcuts for 7.5 but the folder is still there...

I'm afraid you will have to make your own short cuts..

this can be done by right clicking "msnmsgr.exe" in the 7.5 and choosing create shortcut.
