RE: msn messenger plus
Go into the Messenger Plus Preferences... and there should be something somewhere about Hooking... change it to the Alternate hooking mode...and it should stay.... Really you don't have to re-download it.... what's happening is that it's not hooking to your MSN... It could be because the msgplus.exe isn't running... But This should stop this problem...

You don't have re-download it to get it onto your computer if this would start happening again... all you really have to do is go into you Program Files folder, then into Messenger Plus! folder... and then click the executable... Close out of messenger... reopen it... and it should be there.

Are you using a restricted user account?
Because messenger plus needs to be installed on an administrator user account, otherwise it won't stay :P

It doesn't matter whether you're the only one using MSN on that computer. What Pilk asked was whether your windows account it an Administrator acocunt or not.

to get to user accounts follow these steps: -

1.Click Start
2.Control Panel
3.Find "User accounts" and double click on it
4. The look for your account and check whether it says Administrator or not. Here is a picture taken from My computer as an example on where it should say whether your an Administrator or not.
