Hi Folks,

Someone out there who knows how to get MsgPlus to start with Messenger, when Messenger is started from within a batch file, tha says:
runas /profile /user:%COMPUTERNAME%\administrator "C:\Program Files\Messenger\Msmsgs.exe" ?

The reasson for above is, that I have to do so for Messenger to start with the right permission, since my laptop logs in to two domains, when I log in.

When I log into the machine as Administrator and starts Messenger without the RUNAS, everything works fine, but if I close it again and start it with the RUNAS (same user account), MsgPlus will not start.

How exactly is the integration between MsgPlus and Messenger, and which conditions is needed for the integration to work?

Can any advanced registry hack solve this issue?

Or should I start Msmsgs.exe with an option in the RUNAS commandline?

mustnt that be configured in the msconfig file? for msgplus to start up with your sytem...

Best guess: the batch file would be

runas /profile /user:%COMPUTERNAME%\administrator "C:\Program Files\Messenger\Msmsgs.exe"

That should run Plus! first, then Messenger, both as Admin.

If the hookingmethod of Plus! is set to alternate (plus > preferences > general > miscellanious) then Plus! will start when you start MSN Messenger/Win Messenger....wouldn't this solve your problem? You won't need a startup entry for Plus! in the runas this way.

Neither if these suggestions works - does anyone have any better suggestions - THAT WORKS
