Hello, anyone know where a file is being placed while it is being downloaded in msn messenger? I chose for it to download it to the desktop, but it wont appear there until it has finished downloading it. Does anyone know where it is while it's bieng downloaded?

It could be in one of any number of locations: Temp Internet Files, system Temp files, on the Desktop as a hidden file even... there's loads of possible places for temp files.

it's probably in the Temp Internet Files.

In your system's temporary directory (note this is not the "Temporary Internet Files" directory; it is the directory defined by %temp% or %tmp%, usually something like "C:\Windows\Temp").

But you can't do anything with it, the file will be locked as long as it is downloading and will be deleted (moved to your "Recieved Messenger Files") once it is finished.
