I have installed Windows Live Messenger and have been speaking to friends/family , but I now cant phone someone else's PC. It says that I dont have a sound card installed or I have'nt selected it. I have checked my settings and everything seems cool, but I can no longer phone another PC.


I have tried doing an audio and videp setup but it just says that it cant run the setup


Any ideas peeps 

Have you tried reinstalling both your sound drivers first and then Live messenger?

How do i re-install the sound drivers?

ok first you need to find out what your sound card is by going through and finding out what sound card you are using (To find out go to my computer, right click and then click on properties, then click on the  hardware tab, then you click on device manager, then look under sound video and game controllers, then as an example "Realtek AC97 Audio" would be your sound card) After you find out what sound card you are using, google it, find an update for it, download it and run it.

After that then do the same thing with Live Messenger and Plus! Live.
