iPod Help (firmware)
Ok I accidently updated my mini to firmware 1.2
now I want to uninstall 1.2 and install an older version. How do I do this?

Format your iPod and install whatever update you wanted on it.

How do I format it?
And is it possible for me to copy the music off my ipod then format then put the music back on?

Open the iPod Updater program and choose "Restore".
AFAIK, there is no way you can copy the music. Only re-adding it through iTunes will do it.

I can't open the ipod updater program because it tells me there is an error since it won't allow me to install an older version.

You can restore it through iTunes 7 in that case. Click on your iPod in iTunes to show the summary screen, click Restore.

Nope that didn't work. It erased everything but I still have the new firmware.
