i need the video to be compatible with imovie

that site says i need motion jpeg .avi format......

what program can i use to convert a video to this? thanks

Go to http://www.download.com and search on "<wichever format you wish to convert from> editor",  "<format> to <format>" etc. Searchin on "imovie" there might bring up something useful aswell.

I frequently use eRightSoft SUPER when I want to convert something. It's free and can convert between a load of different file formats. One of the options under the avi filetype output codec is M-JPEG, which I presume is the same thing? If so it could be worth a try.
