Hello,

I was wondering if there is way of changing the default Idle time in messenger?  Or if there is a script to change it.

I've have a look and I can't find anything.

In Messenger's main window go Tools -> Options -> Personal -> Status -> "Show Me as...." and change the value there.

You can't change the actual value, but you can force your idle status. CookieRevised created Idle Changer which does the job perfectly .
