go Plus -> Preferences -> Messenger -> "Allow me to..." Should be ticked and then click on OK...then click on the windows Live Messenger Icon on your desktop as many times as you like. If you don't see it on your desktop,
(For WLM 8.0 and 8.1) go Start -> All programs -> Windows Live Messenger
(For WLM 8.5 BETA) go Start -> All programs -> Windows Live -> Windows Live Messenger
Simple as that provided your on WLM and MP!L
