Hi all, got a weird one for you all. I can't get messenger to login in using my wired 1Gb lan connection in vista. If I enable my wireless lan adapter and connect to my network via a access point without the lan connection then all is ok. Note, internet and all other software works just fine. Only messenger has the problem. Can anybody help me here?

Finally found a solution to this problem.
Disable Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level on TCP/IP
Open a command prompt with administrator rights.
Input the following command, and press Enter when done:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
