hi guys new to this place. ive heard about a newer version of WLM but a bit confused coz ive also been told about a new version of MP!L . not sure which version  i have but i know i have ML+ . so anything differecne it WLM 8.5 or the new MP!L?


looks like form what i see about the the new MP!L has a version 4.5 how do i find out which version i have isntalled

For Plus!'s version, Plus! > about.

Also, don't look for the new MsgPlus! Live 4.50 on the internet if you saw an older version number because it has not been released yet.

As using the latest version of MsgPlus! is always recommended, if you suspect you are using an older version, type /checkupdates in a conversation window and send it, it will notify you if there is a newer version. (This command works only on a computer that MsgPlus! has been installed provided that Plus! commands are enabled in its Preferences.)

Right... I checked the previews... I absolutely love the skinning ability, pure awesomeness. It's nice to see that Plus will make it easier to skin and allow more customization too.


BUT I think something can still be added to this new release... It seems like the option to change the Quick Icon shortcut will never be back... Sigh...

Please, Patchou, consider an option to change the Quick Icon shortcut to a more unused key... or even a ctrl+/alt+ shortcut...

Yeah, I know I can just type something after the ( to prevent the quick icons panel, but I am not that quick most of the time... Changing the delay time (if possible via registry) is not a good option either, since it will also delay the time the panel appears. Also, I still want to see my default WLM emoticon panel.

I have requested this many times, but nobody seems to care about my feedbacks. This option existed in the version 3 era and I doubt if it'll take that much time to implement. Please put it back!!!

Poom, you don't have to be quick for typing something after ( because even if the panel was displayed, when you type any other thing, it closes again. You have to just continue typing!

That's because it snows sooner in Quebec than it does in Montreal. You want to wait until January for the release?

Well, it takes quite a while for the quick icon panel to load... Ya, it's not that long, but a 1 second delay pisses me off most of the time...

Besides, it should be easy to be implemented.
