Now i recently got a new laptop, and i know than i can just export the settings from my pc onto the laptop, but i would like to know if there is a way that i can keep the chat logs i have on the computer and have the laptop add to them over the network.  i would pretty much only be using the laptop when i'm at home connected to the network, and would still be using the old computer as well (obviously not both at the same time).

Is there a way that this can work, or is it impossible to have to separate computers adding to the same chat log files

You would need to share the folder on your other computer and set the path to the chatlog directory to that of the share on the network computer. Note that if you dont change it back afterwards Plus! will likely cause messenger to hang when it tries to save the chatlogs and cant find the network share.

Remotely connect to your computer from your laptop and use Messenger on your computer.
