I use firefox and i keep getting an internet explorer window open up with advertisements on every 5 minutes on its own, just started happening recently .

Help ?

Are the website names prefixed with CiD?

In which case it's the sponsor program of Messenger Plus! Live.

There are instructions here on how to remove it

Such popups titled with CiD are not necessarily from Messenger Plus' sponsor. One other way to get them is 3W Player, and this is much harder to remove.
