hey guys, can anybody help me with a virus situation, or any suggestions on what should i do to handle the following virus (if you have any idea of what this is): W32/NUWAR.SO.WORM

to give you more specifics, i have panda 2008 + firewall with the last update for today, and even that is not able to kill this virus, i have this in 4 different places, this morning something happened and i had to restart my computer because of a message that i got from my antivirus, after that i was not being able to get into my folders, images, drive c, etc.  what i had to do is use the recovery disk of windows vista and this got handled.

if you know anything about it or if you have any suggestions, please post it.

well these ppl do it by replacing a dll

if you have another vista use that other wise you should be able to use the recovery console on the vista disk

thank you for your help, i am going to try this and see what happens, this virus should be really bad.

could you also use some boot alternative anf fix it like that you might need to find a replacement dll file though, i'm going to sound like a broken record but bartPE is the first stop when attacking a virus(if ofcourse your mainstream expensive anti-virus fails)

i finally kill it, i have an antivirus that apparently deletes it, it is called NOD32, but also bought vista ultimate for the computer.....i hope this is going to work well now

Offtopic: This is the third? virus thread I've seen in three days. I wonder who tomorrows lucky winner will be.
