Hi allure,

First, what is the full number of your Plus! version? You can find out by going to Plus > About. The latest is version 4.60.0.326, so if not that please update to the latest first, then check if the problem still exists.

If you have the latest and the problem still exists: you speak about the event viewer, but that is not contact specific so i'd like you to tell me exact steps you do to open it (you might be mistaken with Contact Information, which also shows events, but is specific for that contact).

Yep, that was clear. It is indeed the Event Viewer you are on about.

Do you have anything on your comp that changes visual styles in Windows?

Do you have any scripts or skins installed?

Have you tried to repair Plus! from Programs and Features yet?

You can also try an uninstall and reinstall.

With things that change visual styles i mean stuff like Windowblinds or DeskScapes.

When you uninstalled and reinstalled, did you reboot your computer inbetween (to remove leftovers)?

Ok, well next thing to try would be:

1. Save your preferences:
- navigate to Plus > Preferences
- at bottom left click import/export
- choose Export current settings
- follow the wizard to save them to a file (.pld)
Optional: If you have custom sounds you can save those too by going to Plus > Sound Library..Import/Export at bottom left, choose export and follow wizard.

2. Uninstall Plus! again, this time remove everything (preferences too) and reboot.

3. Go to http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/ and download a fresh copy of Messenger Plus! and reinstall from that file (save to computer then run it).

Now sign in again and see if the event viewer will open.

RE: Display event viewer in messenger plus
might it be that the coordinates of the event window are outside of the screen? Doing what Sunshine suggested in her latest post will show if this is the case or not...
