O.P. Copy and paste chat logs?
Hi. I use many different computers, and I want to copy and paste my existing chat logs into email, a notepad, etc. The logs are saved as html, and when I paste them the emoticons all show up as image errors. I would like to be able to instead see the keystrokes of the emoticons when I paste the chat logs. I have it set to save as txt files from now on, but I want my older html files to be like txt files too, so that I can copy and paste with keystrokes. Any ideas? :)

RE: Copy and paste chat logs?
When you copy-paste from the HTML/XML logs, the shortcuts are not copied, but the image placeholders are copied.

If you want to have the shortcuts you need to convert the HTML/XML logs to text logs.

In HTML/XML an image is defined as a tag with <img></img>. Within that tag you have some attributes like the src tag which defines the image source. One of those other attributes, in the Plus! HTML/XML chat logs, is the 'alt' attribute which contains the original used shortcut.

Unfortunatly there isn't an automatic converter to properly convert Plus! HTML/XML chat logs to text logs including all the 'hidden' information like those 'alt' attributes used in emoticon images.

So, the only thing you can do at this moment is to manually convert them. A very massive big job indeed.

But at least you now know that the shortcuts aren't 'gone' and that it is possible, it simply isn't that easy at the moment.
