I just reccently got this problem. I've deleted my What's new for privacy reasons but for some reason the contacts list wont appear. Please help

Is it still happening? Try deleting Messenger's Contacts cache.

Exit Messenger. Then go to Start, (in XP, click Run) and type in %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft, press enter, then delete the Windows Live Contacts folder.
