Most likely, you have a keylogger or some other sort of malware/virus on your computer.

Use an Anti-Virus software to help you clean up your computer.

In the meantime, I would suggest for you to use another computer (e.g., work, school) to change the password so that the hacker cannot gain access to any more personal data that may be attached with that email account.

In addition to that also change your security question, and the password of your alternate email address if you have listed any under your account.

But do this after your are sure your PC is clean. As soon as you login on the infected PC again any changed password becomes worthless. The easiest way to make sure your PC is clean is to simply use the restore CD which came with your PC and wipes the entire harddisk, but this wipes everything, so if you're going for that make sure you backup any documents and files you need externally and be prepared to re-installed all window updates and your applications after that.

The time you changed your pass the 'hacker' has literals 2 seconds to change it again. Doesn't seem very plausible, does it?
