O.P. Slow webcam due to MessengerPlusLive?
Microsoft has a page where they give hints in case of webcam problems. See
http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solution...-b2fc-f191f489c938

In section 3 of that page they also claim one should unstall Messengerplus Live!!

Is there anybody who can comment on that?

Thanks in advance!

If you uninstall Messenger Plus! Live, does your webcam get quicker?

They probably just suggest it there as the best way to troubleshoot is a clean version of Windows Live Messenger with no add-ons.

There are no known cases of the presence of Messenger Plus! Live slowing down webcamming on Windows Live Messenger as far as I'm aware

together with all other possible addons....

And this for the very exact reason given by djdannyp: troubleshooting should always be done by starting with a clean version to eliminate possible causes...
