hey i get this error when i try 2 sign into msn and it tells me it cant find my contact list can someone help me plz? i really need help

In order to solve your problem, we need more information:

• What operating system (OS) are you using?
  
• What version of Messenger are you using? By the looks of the error code it's a version of MSN Messenger, please specify exactly which version.
  
• Any Messenger add-ons that you have installed
  
• If you are using Messenger Plus! Live, which version?

If you need any assistance in finding the above, please ask.

how do i find my OS?
and im not to sure what add-ons im using
and yea im usuing messenger live ive got the newiest available.

the problem went away for a while and i could sign on but its come back again and i cant get back on

To find out what OS you're using:
Press the Windows Key + Pause.

Or right click on the 'My Computer' or 'Computer' folder and click 'Properties'.

To find out what add-ons you are using have a look in the 'My Programs' or 'Programs and Features' folder in the control panel.

An add-on is something that you install and it links its self to messenger. MP!L is an add-on. Can you remember adding any other programs that claim to make messenger better?

Since when have you had this problem?

Can you think of anything that may have caused it?

If you've installed add-ons such as SweetIM or SmileyCentral, these could cause problems.

Try reinstalling Windows Live Messenger.

1. Go to Control Panel > Uninstall Programs > Right click Windows Live Essentials and click Uninstall/Change > Follow the instructions to remove Messenger.

2. (Optional) Restart computer.

3. Download and install Windows Live Messenger again.

hi im also getting the same error ! i have reinstalled msnmessengwer twice but still doesnt work, even tried opening a new account but it gave me the same message! been like this for over a week now so beggining to think my msn life is finished!

I'm getting the same error when I try to log on to messenger.

It says that my contact list is currently not availble and that I should try again later. It has been going on some time.

It has nothing to do with the PC itself since I have tried it on several different PCs. Likewise I cannot log on via an online messenger like www.meebo.com which I have done before without problems. It's like my account is simply messed up

I hope that someone can give me a hint as to what to do ???
