I've just downloaded the new Messenger Plus with which you can lock WLM. WLM has disappeared (as it was supposed to have done). Now I'm not sure now how to unlock it.

In the bottom right hand corner of your screen you should see the following icon:



Double-click it

i made an account just now to say thanks.  i pressed some combination of keys when i was working in photoshop, and somehow hid my messenger, and could not figure out how to get it back till i found this thread on google.  thanks. 

p.s., i know this is a dead post, but, it was very helpful.  should consider it being a sticky. 

i know you need to push that icon button


but where do u find it because i dont have it in my bottom corner

You probably pressed the keys that lock messenger by default (control+space). To unlock it you can click the disconnected disk icon.

Or: Start Taskmanager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) or Ctrl+Shift+Escape and look for "msnmsgr.exe". End the task.

There should be a sticky about accidently locking Messenger. There's just so many threads about it.

Glad you sorted it out.

If you have a window 7 then instead of that icon, you have a magnifying glass. Just double click on that.
