Sorry if I do not plan well the question, I'm Spanish and I am using a translator.

Since installing the latest update, the contact I have in the desktop always appears as connected, even without being so. I tried to remove the contact from your desktop and put it back, but I choose the same result.

Any suggestions?

Something like this is mostlikely caused by the Windows Live network itself, not Messenger Plus!.

Messenger Plus! simply relays the information it gets from Windows Live Messenger.

because in the Windows Live Messenger appears well as off / on, and my girlfriend (who was at her desk that) also happens something similar, problems that I saw online.

In the end I opted to remove the icon on the desktop, but it was very useful: (

If that is the case then it could indeed be something wrong with Messenger Plus!. But it still doesn't rule out that it is the fault of Windows Live Messenger though:
Windows Live Messenger could still be relaying the wrong information (while it shows the correct information itself). It has been known that Windows Live Messenger had such similar errors in the past.

i do have the same problem...

it took me some hours last night to solve my problem being unable to send messenges to ppl on my contact-list (ppl with yahoo email adresses) and now that i have finaly fixed this i cant see their real status on my desk...

they appear online inside the messenger window and they appear to be offline at my desktop-contacts... last night before i went to bed my father appeared online at my desktop-contacts while i knew he shut down his laptop 30 minutes ago...

it seems the desktop contacts wont refresh their status
