I was just wondering if it was possible to find the location of one of my msn contacts, i.e the area where he/she was when I spoke to them on msn, this is because the person is under a false address and has been a real hassle to me and my friends? We think we know who it is, but we cannot prove it...
any help?

You need to get their IP address...best method is;
Send a file type netstat - n into command prompt in transfer then you'll get a list of addresses...one will be the contact...
then use a trace program to find their approximate location (tracert in command prompt will do this) or McAfee Personal Firewall Plus will give you a graphical location...
Without being the FBI, CIA or NSA that's the best you'll be able to do...

Hackers, but not in MSN messanger you wont be able to do it. The reason Beeing: MSN Msnger's privacy. Its all about the privacy with microsoft! But yes, as anubis explained, that is the best way possible.

But that location will only tell you were his computer/router is connected to his ISP... For example, if you look up my IP you'll find that Antwerp is the city, although I don't live there (I'm in a another city 40 km away). Antwerp is the city were the node is of my ISP and thus were my IP leads to...
