I just installed fedora and when it boots I get a lot og things that say loading... blablabla    [OK]
and about 2'(Not sure)     [FAILED]

and at the end I get this:



First I was stuck at the login screen but I read that I should use root and that password, so I did and then a command line came. I also read that I should type starx but nothing happends...

I'm lost

P.S: I'm a n00b with Linux.

Uhm, no . Is it logged somewhere?

EDIT: Well... startx did something, but it failed I guess

So remove /tmp/.X0-lock, as it says :

rm /tmp/.X0-lock

and yeah, I think there are logs, but I'm not using linux myself at the moment and I don't know by heart where. I'm not increadibly experienced in it

u need to pick up a book about Linux. Running Linux 4th Edition is great. by O'Reilly.
