My friend signed in the other day,and as soon as he came on, he went off, or at least that's what i thought. It appeared to me he was offline, but he was actually online. And he was talking-
When i told him, he didn't know what was going on.

How could that happen?

And what causes the stuff i send and recieve to be late? Connection problems? Sometimes i get what people tell me late,and there is a possiblity 1% that sometimes i get nothing.

This is a bug that sometimes appears in Messenger letting people stay online while appearing offline. It shouldn't be very usual, though.

Waht you talk about is lag, any data you send or receive arrives with some time of delay. This may be due to your connection (if it is dial-up) or to your ISP (if it's any other advanced connection). It can be aswell a lag caused by MSN themselves, so you can't do anything. This happens usually to many people and I'm afraid you can't help it in any way.
