Why? cause what if i read the post, i think its not spam and that  it shouldnt be deleted/splitted/merged ?

Its better to leave a message so people wont report it again... if i didnt remove it at the beggining and someone else reports the same post, why would i do something with it now?

Seriously... yes, I thought about that, but isn't there any other way? Because how can we be sure between the difference of "forgotten" report and a "not-valid" report? Or should I just ignore the indicator again, like I used to?

a report isnt forgotten often (only if someone clicked the mark as read button by accident

That's my reason against changing the behavior of the notification text. I often ignore reports on purpose (there are people who make dodgier reports than you, Cookie ).
