     Well, i just purchased a scanner on the weekend, and ive had my webcam for a few months now. I could take pictures using the program that came with my webcam, called "Presto! VideoWorks" but now when i open it, and click "Aquire images" (or something, just to take pictures) It comes up with the screen that prompts me to scan something. Ive unplugged my scanner, while trying to take pictues, and i still cant. I dont want to uninstall my scanner software, (ArcSoft PhotoStudio) unless theres something better out there that i can use. But, until then, is there anyway that i can get it to open in my presto! box instead of my arcsoft software?

Have you checked the program's settings? There may be a setting that says something along the lines of "Aquire images through a compatible scanner" or something.

In the program, click Select Source and choose the one for your camera.
