Only a couple of my contacts use Messenger Plus, so I'm interested in how much of the Plus 3.50 formatting they will be able to see (using Messenger 7).

1. Will they see the Plus! color or font (italic, bold, underline, strikethrough) formatting in my user name?

2. ...in my messages?

3. Will they get an invitation to the play custom sounds I send them?

4. If yes, will the built-in Messenger plus sounds work the same way, with an invitation?


And an unrelated question: Will custom sounds be different from built-in Plus! sounds in that the other person gets an invitation to play them?

1. No, they will see the codes you have used

2. Same as #1

3. I dont know, but i'm pretty sure that they wont see the invitation

4. They will work the same way as they always have (backwards compality)

The custom sounds are played automatically. but there is an option to play them like winks, where you click somthing to play them

They'll see some sort of 'MsgPlus: Data' thingy. M_E tried sending me one of those sounds, but as I don't have the private beta (I'm not a tester), I saw the raw data packet.
