When I double click on MSN Messenger 7.0.777 the MSN Messenger icon shows in the taskbar, but it doesn't open. About a minute later the error report comes up. Once I click dont send, the icon disapears.

I can usually fix problems like this but it just won't work

I've tried re-installing; uninstalling and installing; Restarting and deleting registrys.

When I try opening it, I have no programs running that run in MSN Messenger [ex. Msg Plus!, Msgr Discovery etc.]

Please help if you can

Try it without Messenger Discovery

I havn't got Messenger Discovery, I was using it as an example.

I havn't got any "extensions, patches etc." running. Just MSN Messenger itself. So it has to be something to do with MSN Messenger.

Any suggestions please?

If the error says "incorrect configuration", install Java.

If it's another errormessage, please post it here.

I click on MSN Messenger. It sits in the taskbar for about 1 minute [not signed in].  Left/Right clciking on it doesn't do anything.



A minute later it comes up this error report:



When I click on Debug the box dissapears for a phew seconds and then this comes up:



and I click on don't send, and it disapears from the taskbar.

EDIT: I just done 2 anti virus searches / 5 bug searches / 3 anti spyware searches - I had about 4 viruses but I deleted them. Deleted lodes of spyware, lodes of bugs but still can't get on MSN ! Someone please help it's so annoying. I'm having to go on e-messenger. I can't get on the official web messenger

if u can run msn extracted files... ( may be the fake version of msn msngr) then it could be the problem of ur installation..
download then msngr setup again from the official site site of msn msngr then install it...if it doesnt work then try to install msn msngr in other directory or other drive....

Hmm it seems impossible to fix.
