I'm getting the "Sorry but you must have Messenger 4.6 (minimum) installed on your system for Messenger Plus! to work properly." error, and i can't understand why...
It occurs when someone logs into another windows xp account (I have no problem when logging in my own user account), with administrative rights or not.
MSN Messenger 7.0.0777 (french) and MsgPlus! 3.52.130 have been installed in my account.
I have Windows Messenger 4.7.blah(2009?) installed too...
I never had windows messenger on my pc and Plus! works fine with me
Maybe you didn't install msn in the original folder, or maybe you did it on another partition?
Did you change the path of MSN Messenger ? please email me the default value of the folling key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0D81DFEC-5610-4a2b-9B57-FC33D21366F0}\LocalServer32
It's supposed to link tothe Messenger executable.
Thanks
If it happens only on other window xp accounts it means those accounts don't have access to winmsgr. Normally when it's installed on the administratoraccount (safemode, account called "administrator") guestaccounts should have access too.
