I used to use Trillian and each time I would receive a message while playing Half Life 2 or Battlefield Vietnam,  I would hear the message notification which would override anything in the game.

Unfortunately, MSN 7.x does not have this feature so I miss out on many messages while running a full screen game. I do not have anything checked that disables notifications when busy.

One thing I noticed...I have sign-in/out sound notifications through Messenger Plus which do play even during gaming.

If possible, could a feature be added to Messenger Plus that would be similar to the sign-in/out but apply to an actual message popup since these sounds can be heard while gaming?

Thank you, raceprouk, but I have that option turned off so I can receive alerts.

Meh... there's no likewise option for conversation alerts.
I assume message alerts are actually turned on?

Correct. The sounds play just fine when I do not have any full screen game running.
