How come it won't let me change my msn messenger icon?  Is this my computer or does it not let any of yall do it either?

The actual MSN Messenger icon is unchangeable.

A shortcut however is, make a short cut and...

Right click >properties>shortcut>changeicon

I tried that, but it won't let me click on the change icon button.  Have no clue why.  Same story with my downstairs computer.

It is the shortcut on the desktop, still isn't working.  The MSN icon not the boss protection.

Hm can you upload a screen print to the forum of the properties window?

I guess it's one of these new-fangled 'special' shortcuts (like a Unix hard link, for those that know). Try finding the msnmsgr.exe program, and right-dragging it to where you want the shortcut. The resulting shortcut should allow you to change the icon.

Yes you're right, it's the same with my Microsoft Office (2003) shortcuts. Check this screenshot:



Snelkoppeling = Shortcut
Ander pictogram = change icon
