I have the newest version of MsgPlus, but ever since I use it, I have the same bug: Plus does not display special characters properly.

This means, that peoples names like ƒloo® go†hic
is shown as: ?loo? go?hic or |loo| go|hic

As you can see, it's very annoying and impossible to read. In the chatlogs, the characters are displayed properly, in almost all input fields and title bars it's inreadable.

Can someone please explain me wether it's a bug in MsgPlus, if someone else has this problem, and how I can solve it?

If you are refering to using the Beta then that might be the case or if you are using the latest public version and the latest MSN Messenger that would also be why.

What is the (!VER) so we can see what we can do.

Did you try opening your log in another software that Notepad? did you try Wordpad or Word for example?

Also, what version of Windows are you running?

Hes using Windows 98... i think some Characters arent supported there.. i remember when i used that.. you can use them in MSN.. but in chat logs and that stuff they appear like other symbols =/

Notepad: | says:
Wordpad: ƒ says:
Contact Information: identity: |
Contact List: | (away)

| - Conversation
ƒ is away.

So it's rarely shown. But what's the difference between the conversation title bar and the line below, because the second shows the correct character...

It'll be something to do with the fact you're using Windows 98. If you don't have the Layer for Unicode installed, try installing it. Or you could try upgrading Internet Explorer (that updates loadsa system stuff).

If you're using Windows 98 then not every characters are supported by Messenger Plus!. In that OS, only the currently selected page code is used to save your logs so there's not much you can do about it, sorry.
