i seem to have 2 different groups of the same group with the same contacts in

i have a contact group called friends and for some reason another one called Friends messenger with the same contacts in it but i didnt make two groups. the same thing goes for all my other contact groups.

if i try to delete a contact from one group it deletes it from the other group aswell so i cant delete one of my groups without losing the contacts in it, is there a way to delete it without losing my contacts?

Do you use a Hotmail account? Have you created the groups in your Hotmail account?

It seems that MSN integrates both lists when you login in MSN Messenger.

thx, yeah i use hotmail account and i delete the second contact group in my hotmail email and it just deleted the group and not the email addresses, problem solved, thx

Tip for the future: Set up the groups in Messenger, and let Hotmail sort itself out. That's what I do, and it works great

thats why I dont use hotmail..that and I cant use pop3..lol
