ok, me and my friend had a problem with this, when i add aload of songs onto a 1gb MP3 player after about 500mb it says cannot create file directory, my mate says hes got 99 songs on it, but i dunno, any help??

i dunno how to explain it, but there might be a prob with his rom chip (inside the player) i have a 256Mb jump drive but after i fill it by half, i get an error saying "Data error - cyclic redundancy check". Unfortunately there nothing to do about it, well not for jump drives anyways

yeah but we get messages saying 'cannot create file directory'

What kind of player is it ? and is it new ?

I have a brand new mp3 player, bought today, and I have the same problem.

That's what i'd do, and print a screen shot of the error, since they might not believe you (if u bought it a store)

most of the little mp3 players with 1 GB have a 500 MB per folder limit, if it says it's full make another folder on the stick and put the rest of the mp3's in

Yep erza is totally right here. This is what you have to do

1) Open the mp3 screen up on your computer
2) click create folder.
3) put songs into the new folder which has been created.

this will work. i had this trouble and this makes it work.

that makes perfect sense I can't believe I didn't think of that! thanx alot people
