I just installed the Mess.be version of MSG Plus! 3.60. As I was wandering around checking out the features, I noticed that all of the custom emoticon sounds that I had had in my list were gone. All that is left are the built in sounds. Is this due to the new system for specifying languages and the like? Or is this really a bug? I am using the latest versions of MSN Messenger and MSG Plus!, as well as Stuff Plug.

My guess is you uninstalled Plus! including preferences before installing the new version. You don't have to do that, you can install over the old version.

Indeed.... the information of the custom sounds are stored in the registry together with the Messenger Plus! settings. If you clear the Messenger Plus! settings, this information is also gone....

If you don't want that to happen you must make a SoundPack out of all you custom sounds before you remove Plus! completely with all its settings (which isn't needed at all to upgrade though, as Sunshine said)...

If the directory still exists where the custom sounds are physically stored, you can quickly restore these settings... For this take a look at: Messenger Plus! Sound Library Fixer
