If you use the internal 'Check for updates'-function in 3.54.132, it will tell you that there is an update. If you choose to upgrade, it'll download 3.54 (the version that was installed already) again.
I tried this several times, it just kept 'upgrading' to the version I already had.
Downloading 3.6 from the website obviously worked okay.
