Has anyone using the new Mail beta (...'hotmail'...) had any problems adding attatchments? I'm currently trying to attatch a 3mb zip file and it's taken about 40 minutes so far and still says 'scanning...etc'.

Also, why does it not include the option to attatch pictures like in the old Hotmail (that's what the zip file contains)?

maybe they will fix that in their new version.

But yeah... i didn't have that problem before and not now neither.

I send files about 1 mb long and it takes like 30 seconds.. i dont see why it takes 40 min.. maybe a firewall or u have a dial up connection?

I'm on my university network at 100mb/s so speed isn't the issue. I didn't consider it would be the firewall, I'll check this out. Although the university insist on uninstalling any of my own security software and installing their McAffee 8.0 software - which is relatively unconfigurable.

yeah.. school Anti-Virus software cannot be configurable.. only admins can do it so... i don't know.

'mail was unable to attach your file because of technical difficulties. Please try again later'

this is wat i get when i try attaching a audio file, well is still beta so lots of things need to get fixed up, give it time.

don't forget it is in BETA testing...

Well duh - no need for the sarcastic reply. I know it's a beta but I was just asking if anyone else was having the same problem. Just because it's a beta doesn't automatically mean that a function won't work...
