that will only kill the process to hook plus!. The already hooked Plus! will still be there.

how can i disable msgplus temporarily?
1) Make sure you didn't choose the alternative hooking technique:
Plus! > Preferences > General Options > Miscellaneous > Messenger Attach Method: Default Mode
2) Go to your Windows Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL in XP) and go to the Processes tab. There find the process
msgplus.exe and end/kill the process.
3) Restart MSN Messenger.
---------
If you also want it disabled after a reboot:
4) Go to your registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and/or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and delete the Messenger Plus! startup entry in there.
