the title explains it all really
i have tried every usb port but the same problem. the computer stops and the first BIOS page, at the memory testing part.
if i take out my ipod and boot, its fine
any ideas?

Your computer is trying to put off of the iPod. You have to disable USB Booting from within the BIOS to avoid this.

All you have to do is leave it out untill it goes to the desktop.

but i like to leave my ipod in, and i dont wanna keep taking out and putting it in everytime i turn on my computer

You have to disable the computer from booting from USB Devices like I said in my original post.

Call whoever makes your computer to find out how to do it. Or look for something that says USB Boot or something similar.

well, i checked in the BIOS and its only booting from the floppy, HDD (not USB) and cd drives
and the usb booting option isnt selected.

Try putting HDD as the first in the list to boot from.

Remember that you can leave the iPod cable pluggen into the computer, and just unplug the iPod from the other end.
