My Messenger Plus saves my Chat Logs as XML files instead of TXT files, and i have no programs that i can read them with.

Is there any way to change it so they save as .txt instead  of .XML?

Messenger plus! has never saved it's chat logs as .xml, also, .xml files simply open in Internet Explorer afaik.

Messenger Plus! Live 4.00 will save it's files as xml though .

Im using MSN 7 with Messenger Plus 3, and it saves as XML.

When i try to open them in internet explorer, it just says The Page Cannot Be Displayed.

So theres no way for me to read them, which is why i want them back to txt, like they used to be.

MSN 7 saves them as xml, messenger plus! logs are saved as .txt or .ple

If you use encryption it saves as .ple otherwise as .txt

.ple should be opened with msgplus.exe and .txt with notepad

Turn off logging in MSN itself: Tools > Options > Messages
Turn logging on in Plus!: Plus > Preferences > Logging > Chat Logging..check "automaticly log all my chats by default"

XML logs not beeing displayed in IE is known when using IE 7, also see WLM recorded convos "broken". This thread is about the same error, it happens with XML logs of any MSNM version you might use.
