It doean't matter which network the contacts are from, heck the two IM clients have not even merged so it's impossible to have 300 from Yahoo then 300 from MSN. You can have 600 contacts total.

I think this has to do with the reverse list, used to store who has you on his/her contact list, which may be full. Use a tool such as NoRoom's ListCleaner to fix that.

i have around 350 contacts  ...

I say just delete msn messenger, re download, if the problem persists contact Microsoft directly, tell them the problem and see if they can check their database.

right, go into your hotmail, the mail section click contacts and delete all contacts on the hotmail list.

dont worry they wont dissappear from msn messenger!
