I've been using Mess Plus! for a while, mainly for the chat logging feature, I really love it. I use it with MS Messenger v5 because I need SIP.

For the past two weeks though, it hasn't been logging any of my chats, despite the fact it was working well for a long time. I've checked the settings and they haven't changed, they all seem correct. Also, I see nothing in the event window when I leave it open and set it to record events, if that is any indication.

I installed ZoneAlarm Pro probably about the same time that this started happening. I've set ZA program settings for Messenger Plus! to the highest trust level and given it access to both trusted and internet zones both for access and for server. I also set up so that it can use other programs to access the net and can interact with other apps. But nada in the chat logs whether its an SIP or .net contact.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with ZoneAlarm or if there are any specific settings I need to adjust?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

You could try a reinstall of Messenger Plus!, maybe ZoneAlarm isn't recognizing it properly.

Reinstalling/repairing MSNM should do it then.

THanks Sunshine - I tried that as well, to no avail. I just noticed in another chat window that if I choose "Plus!" from the menu that "Log this chat" is checked. But when I choose "Open Log File" it says

"An internal error occurred. Logging is temporary disabled for this chat. Try to reinstall Messenger if the problem persists"

So I guess I will try reinstalling messenger as well as Messenger Plus! and seeing if that works.

Resolved.

As per the instructions from the alert window, I uninstalled Plus! and then reinstalled Windows Messenger and Plus! and it now logs all my chats.
