My contacts without Plus tell me that my name has html tags around it. Do they not see the effects of Plus? Do my contacts have to have messenger Plus to see custom sounds and use the "/" feature? Is there a list of compatibilities?

If your contact doesn't have Plus! how are they going to see enhancements from it?

Anything Plus! can do your contacts wont see it unless they have it installed.

when I change the font color of my name, you're saying they will just see [c] tags?

Say I have a program called Jimmy John Billy Weed Head. Now how is your computer going to know what to do without having the program installed?
