A while ago I tried to install a program called "Desktop Sidebar". It refused to regester a file, therefore didn't install.
It installed fine on my moms computer, so I copied all the files, and all the registry entires from her computer, and put them all on mine. It still refused to work, insisting it wasn't installed correctly. So I reloaded the backup I had made of my registry.
A new version of Desktop Sidebar has been released, so I downloaded it and tried to install it. It says an older version is still on my computer, and I need some .msi file to uninstall the old version
. Looking thru the registry, I noticed the entries were still there, and could not be deleted
!
It says I do not have the proper permissions.
Is there a program to nuke these entries weither I have permission or not? I should cause this is the only admin account on my computer
. I really want to see if this new version of the program will work
.
Thanks ^__^.
