Apparently I'm looking "offline" even though I'm not.

Is/Has anyone else having/had this problem?

Make sure your status is set to "online" and not "Appear Offline"

Or do you mean that your status is online but your contacts see you as offline?

OMG i have the same bloody problem, its SO annoying my status is set on appear ONLINE although to my contacts i am offline. I know its something to do with Windows Live Messenger because I don't have this problem on old school messenger nor emessenger.com . Ive tried re-installing but hasnt helped at all. If any one has any ideas can they please help

Its the servers at microsoft and something to do with wlm, if you can use a differnt email and it should work.

the problem should be fixed soon, its been happening to lots or people

problem still not resolved.. this is becoming really frustrating.. everyone sure its a tech issue with messenger servers??

Yes its a server issue. Ive also experienced it.

Me too but dont get too pissed off about it.

yea happened to me over weekend i signed in n people said i was offline lmao.

then i signed out and back in and it signed these people were blocked(they could tlk to me still thou) also said they weren't on my contacts list(they were n were tlking to me)

was funny i couldnt talk to them because there weren't on my allowed list althou they could still send me messages lmao

I love WLM, and the M$ servers are so good.
