na that only works if it is a contact you can get a direct connection with but i only have a few emails and the person who i need to trace doesnt talk on msn only sends menacing emails! any more ideas?? thanks

so its actually not a wlm contact at all its a hotmail user thats sent me emails!

Look in the headers from where the e-mail originated
