hi I am using live messenger 8.0, 2 months ago something happend to my msn. I was chatting with my friend, after chatting I closed my pc. 1-2 hours later I opened it and got online in msn. but now I couldn't see the pictures of other contacts(Also the contacts can't see mine). Also I couldn't see winks and smileys that can be loaded optional. (Not etc.).  I have uninstalled live messenger and installed 7.5 version but nothing changed, I have deleted the emotions and winks folder on the directory c: doc and set.username...... but nothing changed....

Whats the reason and whats the solution... It made me mad...

also are you using Messenger Plus?

there are options in WLM to hide DP and options to hide emotes not exactly shure where and i can't check because i am at school but look in tools>options and general tab. and if you have MP! look in plus>prefrences (not exactly shure where probably under conversations).

I dont use any of the extra programs like mplus or etc. I didn't installed any of the smiley and winks package.... I have checked the preferences again and again but nothing changed....
my cousin uses live messenger without any extra programs too but these things doesnt happen to him... Ive searched in msn.com for solution but its a very stupid site where only basic things are written... should i install plus or something else ?

i dont think that will fix it, also are you using any firewall that could block from seeing dp?
maybe a fresh install could help

Do you have ZoneAlarm(Zone Labs)?Try this fix.
