I've got an icon on my desktop that I can't delete.
It's Sony Ericsson Desktop Manager and comes with my phone drivers, which I need to transfer files to my phone and vice-versa.

It's similar to the Messenger Plus! Sponsor, which places icons on your desktop. It doesn't have a delete option or properties. I want it off my desktop. I can't find anything in the program options.

Any ideas?

Uninstall the program (or the part of the program which is repsonsible for the "icon").

Note that such "icons" are not icons or shortcuts, they are actually program windows stuck on your desktop. Hence why there aren't th normal right-click context menus like 'delete' etc; it is a program running, not an icon....

That isn't going to help at all. In fact, if anything, it will make things even worse.

See if you can disable it via the Desktop tab of Tweak UI.
