I accidentally deleted a contact on my Live Messenger. I tried to add the contact back but it always shows as offline even though she's actually online. If I sign in using webmessenger though, she is seen as online.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

These are the ways I've tried:
1. Go on to Privacy tab --> right click on the deleted contact --> add to contact
2. Asking that contact to delete me from her MSN, then click on the 'add my contact' button. But the new buddy pop up doesn't show up at her MSN.

In reality you have done nothing wrong and what you have done is normally, but it's just that in this rare case you need to do one extra step.
